Default Zetec price + extras questions

Im looking at getting the 2010 silver fiesta zetec.

Talking with the dealer i got it down to $21,000.

How much further could he be able to go?

also what extras r worthwhile in getting? i like the glowing doorknob
and scuff mat, but they dont seem like a necessity.

I heard u can get a reverse beeper thing. what other extras are
available that arn't in the brochure?

I didn't think that the fez came with reverse sensors (correct me if im wrong boys) I'd get the floor mats, the y cable and window tint + a full tank of fuel. I don't really think much else is worth it..

I can tell you the illuminated gear knob feels much better than the standard, you get a much more cleaner gear change due to the added weight.

I think you need to have "2" connections one for the usb the other for the aux, im not quiet too sure if it works with just plugging it into to the usb, it has to do with the audio, let me do some research might take me a bit as i've capped my internet... lol

Definitely get the Illuminated Gear Lever, it feels bloody awesome. Thrown in a short shifter and it's a perfect little box. You can buy it overseas for like $100, instead of paying $230 for it in Australia!

oh does the car come with some sort of alarm? im trying to work out
what to buy from the dealer and what to buy from somewhere else so
it would work out cheaper

I'm going to break one of Danny's windows next time i see him to test the alarm (*winks @ D*). I haven't tested the alarm myself but a few others have, so I'm pretty sure it has one....?

You dont need the Y cable....... just use your Ipod's USB cable and any old standard 1.5mm jack and it works perfect!

It dosnt work with just the USB connection......

Just a question there, mate

Is there a cost invovled to get the gear Illuminated? Or would it be covered by warranty as my Fez doesn't have it...I'd love to see it installed into my silver Fez.

And, second question - with the short shifter, how do you or get the short shifter throwin into the gear box? I'd like to see these little details. :evil3:

The Illuminated gear knob is an optional extra, so you have to pay for it, and the labor costs for it to be installed. It isnt standard equipment..

Its definitely hugely better than the stock shifter in both looks and feel just like fiesta said. It'd be my first upgrade if you havent done it yet...

Sports/Alloy pedals are really easy to install as well. And look good too.

Just what I thought, I'll give them a call and see what I can get with the quote price - at least it would be a nice change with the gears and maybe add a sporty look in the pedals too, I wonder what about these scruff plates?
