I have just had a run of blown dash lights ,the ones in the climate contrl L.C.D display in the middle of the dash on my fairmont ghia . I have replaced these expensive little suckers $18 each myself that was easy enough but i cant work out how to get at the one in my T-BAR centre console that lights up what gear its in ,could some one possibly explain how to get at it or direct me to the schematic (i think thats the word) that shows me the location and how to get at it . Thanks in advance i appreciate the help...matt

you'll need to unbolt the centre console in order to lift it up and access the globe under the T-bar surround...
hope that makes sense, just sums it up...!

Yup, like kristo said, gotta unbolt the console.
Its pretty straightforward really. Theres nothing more than 5 screws/bolts to undo. You'll need a philips head screwdriver and a socket set. First of all , there is one screw on the t bar, undo that and pull the tbar off, carefull with it, the spring in the button likes to fly off and dissapear. Once thats off, you can undo the 2 bolts (10mm socket?) infront of the tbar, under the rubber bit under the fascia where you put stuff in. Theres another 2 under the cupholder rubber. Then there is yet another 2 on either side at the rear of the console. Once all these are undone, you can just pull the console out revealing the whole tbar mechanism, the bulb is on the right side of it. Since its a fairmont ghia, youd have the footwell light in the console so be sure to undo the light from the console before pulling it out completly. Have fun

Why would you even need that to light up in a Ghia - don't you have the gear readout on the cluster?
