Default House

Anyone watch this show? It has to be one of my favorite recent TV shows. Just wondering what other people think of it? The first season finished recently but apparently season 2 isn't far away. If you never got to watch it when it was on TV I recommend downloading an episode, you might be surprised.

On a side note, if you google this show you'll find people have drawn alot of parralells between Doctor House and Sherlock Holmes. Interesting, eh?

Yeah i'm actually quite a fan. The storylines are repetitive as all hell (someones sick, they think it's one of two things, one treatment will make them worse, someones lying about sleeping with a foriegner) BUT Dr. House comes up with some mad calls!

House is a good show, enjoy it whenever I get a chance to watch it.

As for Blue Heelers.. even wonder why a small town like that has more active police officers then Werribee, Sunshine and Broadmeadows put together and makes NY's crime levels look like a primary school? Utter rubbish.

Yep Blue Heelers for me too. Been watching it for years. People give me crap about that as much as they did when Stingers was on (YAY repeats are on at 2am). Good Aussie shows.

Ive never watched House but might just flick the channel to see what the hype is about.

It's T.V., it's not real! ;)
I watched House during the weeks that Blue Heelers was on late or not on, and I must say, good show, hot doctor chick too, but I've been watching Blue Heelers since they had EF Falcons as the cop cars, and so it's just a habit that I'm not breaking, yet...

House is a pretty cool show. I like the dialogue and there's nothing better than an abrasive main character...

But as highlighted above, its too formulaic... person gets sick, first treatment makes them worse, stop medication, things get really bad, cardiac arrest and then all of a sudden house comes up with the right medication!

Best TV series ive ever seen. Its the only show I've ever made an effort to see week in and week out. Its great because its technical. My gf is a pharmacist and she deciphers their medical jargon into simple terms when we watch it every Wednesday night... i actually learn stuff lol Dr. Gregory House is a legend, wish he was my doctor, i wouldnt be able to keep a straight face hehe

I can't stand it... perhaps it's because my one of my fave comedians is no longer doing Blackadder etc and has put on a terrible yankee accent.

I think the character is arrogant and the show got very boring very quickly (repetitive story lines).

It's like that other awful show, the one where they are taking care of ppl who have weird diseases that kill... they don't wear masks or gloves or any kind of protective gear yet THEY don't get said disease? WTF is that?!

Medical Investigations. I wondered about that myself. My son and wife love that one, but it does nothing for me.

So is 'The Fresh Prince Of Belair', but I wouldn't say it was any good.

its my favourite show at the moment . i so hope there is doctors out there like this . thats why i like the show. however when you go to hospital most of the time you get some goose just guessing whats wrong with you after 6 hours or 2 days of wiatng to see them then they send you home with medicen or admit you and give you medicine . by this time your already better or on your way to a long stay in hospital fighting all the things that go wrong during your stay . i haver to go now making myself sad. but house will be on tonight . bring it on.

I agree with bindi, he was much better as Percy from black adder, but that aside, I watched the first few and found them entertaining, but now cant be bothered.
