Default Torque convertors and oil coolers. Where to buy?

Going to start looking around for a 2800-3000rpm stall convertor for the XR8. Are there any recomendations on where to buy them? I remember someone talking about a place that does them quite cheap a while ago.

Also are there auto cooler kits that fit straight up to the Falcon?

PWR make a kit to fit the Falcon. Get the biggest one you can (the Heavy duty one is 280x255). Here's a link to an ebay guy who sells them for a good price:

Could never fault their work..
Bit far to come from West Oz, although, there's always freight...!

Ok cheers fellas. Looks like Ebay might be the go then.

Any idea on general price of a 3000 hi stall? The one on ebay is about $750. Is that the norm?

750 is about the norm..
I'm pretty sure most places are 750-850...
I've seen a few pop up for around the 600 mark though...

I'll be interested in hearing what you think of the 3000rpm stall mate, as I was thinking of getting one for mine...
Keep us posted!!!

Id contact Melva if I were you. They stock Red Diamond stall converters, Taipan and Dominator (all made by the same people, but different stall speeds).
Ive had a couple of stall converters, and been in a few cars with them as well, and the Red diamond one is very very impressive. With other converters, some have been great for normal driving, some awesome for doing massive skids (4000rpm stalled VY ss on slicks) but the R.D. one is far superior to all of them. Its around the $6-700 mark, but very much worth it. If I were you, before ordering one, try ad get to go for a drive in a few stalled cars and get a feel for what your after.
Not all converters are the same. Some will be really good for taking off normal, and in peak hour traffic, some are good for racing.
Just my 2c.
