Default Torn seat

Anyone know if the torn in my drivers seat of the focus can be fixed without major work? ie not replacing the seat.

I have no idea how I couldve torn the seat??? Need to find a fix before it gets worse.

is it in the base, cause it gets the most workout, if you get my drift.
sewing may not hold.
how bout a new cover, may mean pulling seat apart though.
i'm sure ford have them as a spare part.

Yes its in the base, on my a$$ to be exact. Maybe I farted or something.
Never thought of that. You mean the cover actually comes off? how about the airbags in it, surely it would be difficult to take off.

I called up ford and you are rite, they actually sell the seat material! Base only cost $220. That may cost cheaper than sending it to the uphosltry.

the airbags are in the side of the back rest.
not sure how hard they to do.
I have done a few on the mitsubishi 380, disconnect airbag fuse, disconnect loom, pull seat out, remove base from back rest, pull cover off base(velcro!!!) back together again.
the lancers are zipped!!

some use the ring staples so that makes it hard if you dont have the tool to replace them.

I have not looked at our seats.

Come to think of it, $220 is expensive. Ford parts over east sell it for $200.

Do you think it would be much cheaper from the UK? and have it posted, as the car is more popular there. Just built in South Africa. Shits me to tears the fact seat covers cost $30
