With FIA approval, Holman Moody is building four new 1964 Fairlane Race Cars. The original Fairlane was raced in 1964 by Holman Moody and Alan Mann Racing. These new cars are complete with 427 race engine, aluminium top loader, fibreglass fenders & doors, FIA paper work, ready to race in historic events.
So last year they shipped one over to Nurburgring and let it loose. This is a great clip. http://www.dogfightmag.com/2010/08/a...s-nurburgring/ |

What a monster ! There is a yellow Holman and Moody '66 two door Fairlane replica that kicks around Cranbourne, even has a replica H&M 427 side oiler in it.

The Fairlane in the clip was having a practice session for the 1000km Classic at the Nürburgring Oldtimer Festival, 10-12 September. Details here … http://www.classicdriver.net/uk/maga...0.asp?id=14741

FINALLY!
Some Compact Fairlane love! I've two '62s, one of which is my daily driver... love these little creatures! This is Floyd... And this is Fleur.... my everyday driver Here's my club on Australia Day.... we had 12 Compacts turn up on the day, but six members were unable to attend, or we would have broken the Australian Record (17 Compacts in one place)! Here's a photo of six of them. Who else here has got one tucked away in the shed? Shazz

Those Fairlane 427s have been around for a couple of years from memory. At the Spa 6hr historic race there was some controversy when one of the Fairlanes was faster than a GT40.

Yes please.
That thing is a beast. It hammered past the other cars like they weren't even there.
