Looking at putting some air shocks in the rear of my 99 AU sedan seen as they don't make air bags for them. Use it periodically through the year to drag a camper van around SEQ. Replace with new King springs and Monroe GT Gas shocks, huge improvement just needs a little more height when towing and still be soft enough to cart the kids to school etc.
Any suggestions? Which brands do pump up shocks? Good place around Brisbane to buy from? Ian |

Two different mobs in Brisbane have said they can not help. My model has the shocks down the center of the spring. I can see why this would be a problem. I assume they would have tried to sell me something if they had the chance. Would love to hear about a solution for this. My preference would definitely be to bag it and only use them when I need to. Go and grab a 'Weight distribution hitch', much better than air shocks or air bags for towing.
http://www.haymanreese.com.au/produc...ionsystems.htm There are other brands around too, and it depends on the ball weight of the trailer as to which WDH you'll need. You'll need to weigh the trailers ball weight.

Brisbane isn't really filled with people installing them, as the fines are huge and the impound lot isn't very attractive, stupid Department of (fun destroying) Transport

Thanks for the input all. Guess a decent WDH or better yet upgrade the vehicle is on the cards.
Input appreciated, Ian |
