Default My Saturday Night *Warning: PICS* Well worth it...

hey all..

here is the end result of my saturday night.... pretty self explanatory, but read under pics for explanation...

my mate's VL broke down on his way back from colac to melbourne on the princes fwy near laverton... smoke from bonnet and oil everywhere... wont kick over at all... no other choice but to tow... so there was my car with a trailer on the back about an inch off the ground...

i'd been meaning to learn how to tow/back a trailer... fun learning to back a trailer on a freeway.. ha ha all went well...

and yes you can tow on your p's...

The Ford Tows The Holden Once More.. Ford to the rescue...

eh eh eh.. picture kinda suits the punchline to a pro-ford anti-holden joke...

anywayz guys good night...

I can imagine when you pulled up in your Ford to rescue the Commo nothing needed to be said? :P One of those, "Don't even say it", moments? haha

Some one has to steer it mate!

Nice work towing mate. how'd it handle with the extra car behind you? I saw some bloked towing an ea with a vn through geelong once. the poor vn was so overloaded. the rear wheels had to have been rubbing the inside of the arches and the fronts well i reckon you could have put your head in the gap it was that bad.

it looks like you had the vl too far forward on the trailer, ive towed heavier cars like a vr wagon with my old ea, and did it fine.

Yes. Much better to have the car sitting over the trailer axels in the middle, but, peace of mind having the front wheels tied up hard against the trailer front.

yea i did have it a bit forward.. even though it was more down weight on the drawbar, i wasn't too worried.... preferred knowing it was safe up against the front of the trailer..

the parkers are actually white LED's and not blue.. they show up bluish in real life but not much... the night mode on my phone makes the colours show up a lil funny...

...not bad for torque the lil' EA
