I grabbed it off the net this arvo, and It has to be said, It poops all over our version in a whole range of areas (comedy, chemistry, cars, etc...).
the series looks very promising with Americas huge car culture to back it up. I can't wait for further episodes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzBcQ93e6Ns

Looks worse then the australian series, sorry, I think every country will want its on own top gear show soon. Horrific! they are killing the brand, leave it in UK fullstop.

Just finished watching the first ep, its way better than the aussie version, the test track is good. The three seem to get along really well and were entertining.
The last part where they were comparing lambos was epic. Overall it seems to be the best interpretation of the TGUK. Here is a link to see the first ep. http://www.gtspirit.com/2010/11/22/t...n-1-episode-1/

Quite liked it. Prefer the Aussie version but then I like it as well.
Only Clarkson can ham up the Stig expertly yet the Aussie version makes a mess of it. I'm glad the American version didn't even try. Buzz Aldrin - 3 thumbs up from me. |

Havnt watched it, but anything would beat the australian series.....
just leave it to the UK boys. The ozy guys just try to hard to be funny, it all seems to scripted,.....just my 2 cents.

Hosts are all pretty good. No cringe worthy lines in the whole ep.
Unlike TGAUS, everytime that prat Pizatti opens his mouth... Track looks GREAT. Great layout, and bumpy. Makes for great footage. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Foust driving. Camera work is a little sketchy. The in car cameras need alot of work to get rid of the shake. Even the trackside cameras were shaky at times. Otherwise, looks good. So, original Top Gear still number one obviously. US second. And Aus a distant third. Easy solution to close the gap though.. Get rid of Pizatti |

Haven't seen it myself, but a mate working over in the states thought it was worse.
That being said, with 10 times the amount of people to find 3 hosts from, 10 times the number of cars to test, and I'd expect at least 10 times the money, it SHOULD be better than ours.
