just stumbled across this , an electronic key inserted into this blokes hand, no more misplaced keys, i like it!

What a nut, hasn't he read that implants have been linked to tumours in pets near the implant. Why take a risk with your health?

If a card reader on the door can read the data off it, validate it and then let him through the door, what will stop a thief from modifing a door reader just to read the data off the implant (as he passes by in the street)? The theif will then be able to program a keycard that will let him into the house / car/ bike etc....

As for the tumours... Not something I've heard of before but only adds to the reason why I would not go down this path. Maybe he should try Biometrics??
