Wow some nice setups. I have had a few tanks over the years.

I have just re done my 6 foot from tropical to cichlids Trying to learn allot more about them some of the names are hard to get the tongue around. Currently in the 6 foot i have 4 Gold Severums i was a little worried with these guys at first how they would go with the cichlid but they are pretty big and seem to be the bosses of the tank. Also have 2 salfin plecos, 2 electric Yellows, Cobalt blue, 2 Acei, Venustas (spelling) and a few others that i can't remember the names. But i am really starting to like these guys allot more interesting at feeding time now.

I also have a 4 foot Tropical setup Mostly Guppies and Sword Tails they just keep breeding also have some corys, Pleco, Congo Tetras, Neon Tetras and Mollies allot more placid then the other set up but at least the plants give it a nice look to it.

I will Try and get some photos when i get home thought the tanks arn't that good.

Some lovely tanks. Sadly the last time my mate came around I gave him the last of my fish. I started with 2 oscars, then had various electric yellows, cobalt blues etc. My final tank had a CT Betta male, 1 x bristlenose, 4 x clown loaches and a khuli loach. I gave them all to my mate. When I get a bigger place a new tank will be on the priority list.

Also XRATE do you hand feed your Oscar?

Checked the web site has not been updated for ages, you still selling Fontosa's??

Would love to buy some off you, just not sure how to get them to Sydney??

Just in the process of setting up a fish room, have two cichlid tanks already, one 8X2X2 display tank in my games room and a 4 foot holding tank.

Will get some photos up as soon as I take some.

Hahahaha. My mate was going to breed goldfish for the sole purpose of feeding his oscars. Unfortunately when he moved house he got rid of them. Both were about the same size as yours, he offered me the whole tank, filters, oscars etc for free, was even going to bring them 400km in his ute for nothing just so they had a good home. The boss of the house said no way, didn't matter how many massages etc lol. Shame really. Now he has all my fish.

Just my little tank.

This is a tank setup in the UAE and yes it's in a private residence. Certainly do nothing by halves over there all 19,000 !!! gallons of it.

But more realistic, here's mine.

Stunning. Salt water tanks are awesome but so damned expensive and hard to upkeep.

Can you give us an idea how long it took you to set it up and how much maintenance it takes to keep it going, or do you get someone in to keep her up to scratch?

Also, is that a custom tank job? Can you give me some details about what filtration set up you've got going?

The missus and I have a marine tank, only 110 litres. Some nice corals and 2 clown fish and a wrasse. Numerous crabs etc. It's relativley low maintenance has been established for over 2 years now so it's growing it's own corals and the like. Only problem is red algea growth.

I have always wanted a big tropical styled tank. But I can't be bothered to take care of it. Had a small, basic one and that was enough for me.

gave mine a clean out the other day .

nah seriously they dont take much cleaning if you have good filtration. if you get the snails and suckers to eat all the crude off the sides.

i cant do that with mine as Oscars eat just about anything.

A few years on and off and after ALOT of trial and error (read $$$)

Maitenance is pretty low and is mostly automated now.

It's a 9x2x2 and i made the stand/hood.

Filtration is via a sump with refugium, protein skimmer and calcium reactor.
