Default Can't Connect?

Hi Guys,

Lately i have being noticing...

Periods when this place gets a bit on the slow side.

Seem to be getting a fair few of "Can't Connect, Too Many Connections"...

Is it just me, or is this place getting too big for its current home????

Cheers

The current server and setup is more than adequate for our current setup so it isn't that.
I have been online a bit the last few days and have had no problems whatsoever.

I've noticed the go slows occasoinally of late, with Firefox 'operation timed out FF.com.au could not be found" Seems to be between 5 and 6 o'clock.. I just put it down to the get home and log on traffic.. A refresh usually fixes it though

Yeah, I agree here Tibbo. It starts around 5-ish for me (Dial-up and broadband) and lasts for about an hour.

I was gonna bring this up a little while ago to see if anyone had this slow time and that it wasn't just me.

I've had this as well...

Sometimes a text page saying "too many connections, please try again later"

Then trying to refresh, it has the page cannot be found...

Same here, glad to see it's not just me getting these error messages.

Im with internode if that helps, it can also happen mid browsing, around 4 or 5. but has happened at 7pm. I normally leave the computer after that and give it a go the next hour.

Just before 5 very slow to open threads etc etc, then at 5pm. I get the following:

I can't connect. Too many connections.

3 mins later, its all ok.

What's causing this?

Cheers

I got it too... unfortunately it meant I couldn't do much. It's most likely something to do with the server than vbulletin.

The site has been pretty slow for me tonight. Every time I try to post a reply to a thread, it takes 5 minutes or so, and still never brings me back to the thread.
Hence my double post in the Paintball thread.

Maybe the site just doesn't like me tonight.
