ive just been told that you cant use any type of speed camera warning device : whats the law with these in oz? can you use anything else?

o yeah i know u can drive at a safe speed and the money grabbing machine can get you.where are the cameras usually then? on bridges etc? in england now they warn you about them 99% of the time.stupid people cause accidents not speed.

i dont want to insult people but in europe everyone sticks to the inside lane when not overtaking so it leaves space for people.i was shocked when i first saw someone here overtake on the inside it blocks up the roads and is more dangerous.Im not saying everyone does it but lots do its insane if everyone just stuck to that rule the roads would 10x better.One good thing is that people stick to the speed limit all the time which is good.

It only tells you were FIXED speed cameras are and black spots, pretty useless in all reality if you ask me.

Thats the UK one, radar dectors are illegal in nearly all of australia, so that info aint no good to us.

YES Steve D, and IF Italy and France confiscate radar detectors, WHO CARES? What considering their respective 130km/h AND 150km/h speed limits, the latter applying on some 3-lane autostradas.

i was meaning another gps type thing sat nav + speed camera in one..thought the law might be different with something like that.Only car i can afford is a very slow one so they wont catch me speeding anyway.
