does anyone know how u can tell? my mates ed i installed stereo, suby etc in decided not to start after i reconnected the battery, the interior light fuse was blown, and the smart lock llight doesnt come on at all. nor can i train the remote. does this mean the smartlock is dead?

If the interior lights don't work, smartlock won't work. The circuits are linked.
I presume you have changed the fuse? |

yep changed it twice, still no luck, got the auto elec coming out but he thinks it sounds like the smart lock module, so yeah. there is no light for smart lock at all, and the buttons on the remote dont open the doors or boot but the light on the remote works.

Have you tried leaving the key turned to the on position for 30 minutes?

yeah its all fixed, what happened was there is 2 green wires with a yellow trace that goto the radio, 1 is constant and 1 goes to the smart lock, i cut the factory plug off because it was hacked up from the previous owner TRYING to install a head unit and didnt realise what the other green/yellow was for and left it out, so the auto elec connected it up and it fired up, that was after replacing the coil :P 65 bucks for the coil and 60 for the auto elec to fix it hhe oh well at least its fixed

haha and i nearly ran myself over :togo: i put it in drive and the handbrake on so the computer can learn again, and me mate rang and i go listen its working! and reved it standing in front of the car and it pushed me probly 2 meters before the car stoped lol!

i searched for smart lock and every thing and couldnt find what i was looking for. but now i kno! and will help other in the future of the dreadful smart lock setup! GG SMART LOCK! lol svo 347 i got pwned! l1k3 t3h n00b 3l337 0mg bbq h4k5
