Good luck with your own personal choice, however i would HATE to be in your shoes, if something goes wrong and you know that 3 seconds of pain could have avoided it all together. Each to their own I say.
I have two kids, both immunised, it was never a question or issue as I know personally I could not live with myself if I effectively though my own choice, harmed my child. Medical advancements are just that... i also take that you are not ever going to feed the child packaged food, formula, and that you grow your own organic veggies. Oh and good luck with the cloth nappies as well.

Ah right so you have done some reading on a home job vacc program and just wanted to bring it up and bad mouth a system which has been in place for a long time now and is proven to aid (not get rid all together) known disease.
The child care issue brought up is true, it will be very very hard for you to get child care without that blue book completed. You can have any special letter you like the centre will turn you away, they mightn't say why but that will be the reason. Again, its all personal, good luck. There is nothing worse than seeing your baby cry when they get jabbed, but somethings are for the greater good, this is one of them. In saying that I would have major issues if one of my kids reacted badly to it...I would feel really guilty, but it wouldn't change my decision, nor would I regret it.

I won't bad mouth anyone's decision on this debate because there is nothing more important than doing the right thing for your kids. I wasn't bringing this up to bad mouth anything. I brought this up to see what others thought not about my decision but in their own lives, hence the poll. Having said that anything is open to discussion. |

Well the poll is showing a definite lean in one direction.
Not agreeing with you and being wrong are NOT necessarily the same thing......... |

After seeing what Whooping cough does to a baby ... I am all for vaccination.
I made sure my son has had all of his shots.

dont have kids but when i do they will definatly have there vacinations. i did and there is nothing wrong with me.
another thing to think about...are you in an area that is heavily populated by refugees or "new australians" from third world countries. because there is a good chance that those kids havent been immunised. i remember reading something about old diseases coming back into the community in areas heavily populated by new australians. hope that didnt sound racist, not my intention. just thowing another opinion

This isn't a place for discussion on these matters. I am sure most have an opinion but instead of listening to a bunch of blokes who have more interest on things greasy or reading articles on the internet ..... visit a real doctor and get the real facts. Looking for someone to agree with you isn't the way to go about things if you need to feel better about your decision nor trying to convert others on your thoughts ......
I think the pole really does speak for itself.
