Hi, this service is coming up. I'd like to do it myself moreso for learning.
Anyone got a link to a dummies guide to servicing an EECV? What do I need to do? I assume it's just oil, oil my k&n and oil filter? Do I need to do anything else? Also, what tools will I need? I don't mind investing in some stuff like oil sump etc. Thanks. |

If you've got some mechanical skills, I wouldn't be too worried about the headgasket. It's not guarenteed that it'll break like some think, depending on the condition of your cooling system of course.
If you can do it yourself, it's not the most expensive fix in the world either. |

Oil + filter change
Air filter service if K&N etc. Spark Plugs and Leads inspection, change if neccesary (how old are they?) Coolant Flush Radiator Flush Inspect Cooling System hoses etc for cracking/leaks Check Battery Brake Fluid Flush + Replace Check Brake Discs + Pads Check Wheel Alignment Rotate Tyres front to back and back to front
