These two books are definately the "Pinto Bibles" -

Des Hammill - "How to Power Tune Ford SOHC 'Pinto' and Sierra Cosworth DOHC Engines For Road and Track" is readily available at bookstores online, can also try Amazon.

David Vizard - "How to Modify Ford SOHC Engines" - I believe currently out of print and difficult to find these days - pops up as a pdf download on occasion at places like while you look for a hard copy. Amazon or Feebay are the best options to tracking down a hardcopy.

Even the earlier edition ("How to Power Tune the Ford SOHC 4-cylender Pinto and Cosworth DOHC Engines for Road and Track") Des Hammill book pops up online occasionally

I mention the download sites for reference only and to aid the OP in identifying the titles queried - I do not promote or condone downloading books rather than purchasing hard copies

Mate, for any auto books (new and secondhand) I can't recommend anyone more than Bevan Young. He's been in the trade for years and goes to a lot of swap meets around Australia. This is the link to his site, and the swapmeets section is worth a look also.

I used to have the David Vizard book years ago when I had my 2 litre Escort...I'll see if I can find it.
