just wondering how people are finding the radio reception in there new focus. i find it really bad i do all my driving in and around the city so its not like im anywhere out of range but i just seem to get a little static all the time on a certain tone regardless how loud it is. at first i thought it maybe the speakers perhaps being of poor quality but they pump fine on a cd. anyone out there have or had the same problem???

I hear you.. but as everyone knows, Radio will never be of the best quality.
The reception is pretty clear in my car although it has its moments of fuzzyness depending what area im in and surrounding buildings. Do you live in sydney??? I think Teki04 has some problems with reception in sydney with his Fiesta. Its different everywhere you go.

Sydney is pretty bad for radio reception and "ghosting", especially with the antenna of a Focus on a 45 degree angle compared to a normal telescopic mast antenna.

I had problems with my Focus when I first got it, I was not able to get any stations outside of my area. My Ford dealer replaced the head unit but it made no difference, in fact it was slightly worse. In the end they found a break in the aerial cable in the door trim on the driver's side. They repaired it and all is well.
