Any Help,
I am about to purchase a EF Fairmont, in which the climate control seems to work, but without display. They tell me it is just a globe, but I am a little suspect as apparantly, it is too much trouble for the yard to fix. This makes me feel as if the problem may be more than just a globe. Does anyone know if this could be a common fault, or any other advice would be appreciated. |

Don't quote me, but I think I read somewhere that the cilmate control globe in EF/EL is an absolute pain in the **** to replace. Good choice of car btw ;)

it would just be the globe, but half of the dash facia has to come off to get at it.
it really isnt hard, if you get a service manual ( like a max ellery manual) it will go into detail showing all the screw points.... again, good choice of car in the fairmont.... |

Definately worth getting a Max ellery repairs manual. Saved me a huge amount of time and frustration. Good luck with the new car

As it turns out, the yard are going to fix it for me. (Apparantly it is a roadworthy fix), And I will be bringing home my new machine tommorow morning. Thanks for the advice though. And I'm sure I will be getting plenty more in the future |
