My girlfriends WP fiesta has an issue starting. It cranks normal, fires (sometimes) then dies. When it does fire it will run for a second but the electronic throttle pedal doesnt seem to be communicating with the throttle body, as in you pump the throttle within that second of run time but the engine does not rev.
It seems to be getting worse, yesterday it took 4 times to start other times it runs straight away. Anyone else had this?

Yeh I had the exact same problem. Got worse as winter came. Turned put to be the battery which I knew was on the way out as it would crank slowly.
Replaced the battery late last year, and hasn't done it since. |

My battery is 4 years old!!! must be getting near its used by date !!There is a later PCM calibration..It was installed in my WQ on tuesday, when it had its 40k service...
