Abusive father and son

Hey guys, my x girlfirnd who im still firends with has just told me that her brother is crazy and beats her some times, and her dad watchs it and says that she deserves it... I serioulsy dont know what to do, her brothers only 16 and its ed i just want to kick the out the little brother but she doesnt want me to hurt him...

Just looking for advice on what to do...

Hmm thats a tough call.
If you cant do anything about it, she has to get the courage to report it to the proper authorities I guess.
Or sort it out verbally.

Beats me. Why does her brother/dad do that to her though?
Sometimes theres a reason. (like shes disobeying her dad)

What proof do you have? Not saying its the case here but some young people have been known to exagerate, it happened to my son, one of his friends rang him up one day he raced out only to find things werent as had been told to him. If its true then authoroties with proof would be best.

I am surprised you have to ask.
She has to move out and she has to get an Intervention Order or AVO depending on where you live. Then she can decide if she wants to go to the police.. which she should.

If there are visible marks left on her body then there is enough proof to take legal action.
If they're "smart (wrong word i know) enough to not leave marks my advice is to do all you can to steer her away from them. No one needs to be in a situation of helplessness especially at the hands of so called family/loved ones.

Don't really know what you can do but this is the sort of stuff you'll think about in 10 years time and it'll pain you that you didn't do something/anything.

Mate, no bloke has any right to lay a hand on a woman regardless in my books unless she attempting to kill you. As many have said, this is something that she needs to at least report to the authorities or perhaps another family member. You, Im afraid dont have any power to do anything in the situation unless your next of kin or something. You just need to support her and beg her to seek help. The authorities will help but its the victim that has to make the move.

It has already been said above, get her to get an AVO. You could also sort it out verbally, and if you feel threatened, have the satisfaction to beat the living daylights out of them, in self-defence you see.

On second thoughts, don't fight fire with fire....

kick them in the knee's causing them to hyper extend meaning there legs will b fkd for life, alternativly you could always have some strong words with the brother/father, or take them for a real scary drive to the cop shop ;) along with photo's of bruises/cuts and they will sort it out. or just push them off a cliff ;)

how old is the girl you are not saying . she may be full of it . or she may be telling the truth . or it could be many things . she may be exagerating for pitty . or she may be hitting her brother 1st . sounds like a story to me . if she is 17 or older she is old enough to get out herself . if she is young . i'd want evidence of how bad it is and go to the police and inform them and also tell the father you are aware of what is happenning and have informed the authorities .

I think the first thing to do is make sure what she says is happening, really is happening. many young girls like to exagerate or make up things for attention, no disrespect.

Been watching those kung-fu movies then Luke? Your ACL / PCL tendons ( in your knee ) are a hell of a lot stronger than you realise, and it takes quite a twist or impact to snap them ( several hundred newtons ). Takes a decent orthopaedic surgeon about 40mins to repair one of these. All up if you did manage this Bruce Lee style, you'd put him out of action for a few weeks and cop about $5k bill per knee, plus legals.

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
harsh but thats the way it is.
the last thing you want to do is go bust some heads only to find out its B.S.
even if its not B.S and you bust heads, youve just got yourself a criminal record. if you already have one then youve just got yourself a place to stay for a few months.
if you are really concerned and have genuine beliefs that its happening, then ring the cops and tell them.
dont get involved.

Damn right there....

I have the highest respect for women......we guys may sometimes may have onesided views on a particular subject, but it's certainly no reason to lay a hand on them. Men whom beat women, are just insecure bully's, that feel good they can beat someone physically inferior to themselves. Put the guy against some male who is superior....and the cowardly aspect quickly emerges.

thats what i thought as well ,it could also be a way of getting back with you and if that is the case be carefull as so she doesnt falsely acuse you of bulldung.............what is her age by the way?

shes 20 years old...

she moved out, living at her grandma's house but the gma is in adelade and her dad has a buzzer for the garage and a key so he can get in anytime.. doesnt really help her..

If there are marks on her, then clearly this is not just joking around.

It's a police matter, I would MAKE HER go and report it, if it happens again after that, then have the brother charged with assult and the father as an accessory to the fact.

but the fact she lives out of home and away from the father and brother will definately help the situation.

get a few mates together cruise over scare the out of them!!! if they dont listen beat the crap outta him! go to where he lives not the girl and dont let her know you have done it. Generally if there is more than just you they are gonna be scared to know they are fighting a battle than more than just you!
Then if they do it again get her to go to the authorities!

yeah good idea with the garage wouldnt be that expensive i dont think. Dont do anything stupid though when u take your mates over. Remember your there to scare first and they are your backup (incase you need to flog the crap out of him).

I am sure if you told some of your mates the situation they would be willing to help you in any way.

The garage should be free...

There should be a green button on the back of the unit on the roof. Look for instruction on how to program this on the manual or on the unit, or go by trial and error.
