Default Any marine mechanic on the Gold Coast?

OK, I got this today http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWNX:IT and I was wondering if someone wanted to put it on my 16 foot Shakespear for me for about $200? I want to just run it as is for now, even with the comp down on one cylinder and in as few weeks I want the new power head fitted.

People might like to know where you live - obviously someone from Perth isn't going to drive over to Brisbane to fit it for you. LOL.

that thing will make your 16 footer fly

we had one on an 18 footer and it went really well

you should be able to fit it on your own though you need to work out the hight by using your excisting outboard as a template

measure the length of the leg from base of the transum to the lower side of the cav plate of the leg

not sure what out board you have on there but you need to make sure that you have that measurement right or your boat there is both short and long leg

I will try to find a bit af a guide for you

here you go

look at this one http://www.marinepartsman.com/instal...your-boat.html

now this is us so they call the cav plate the anti-ventilation plate

hope this helps

Thanks Jason. I can fit it myself, it's just a case of " I don't feel like it" it's the one toy I don't want to work on for some reason. The hull set the world record back in the early 80s at just over 100 MPH with a 115 evinrude. I have all the documents to go with it. If I can't get it fitted this week, I'll probably put it on next Saturday at work.

I noticed xr6menace isn't interested. Is it because he doesn't like me I wonder!? After all, he does own Burleigh outboard wreckers doesn't he? If he does, then I paid him $1500 2 years ago to fit a 40HP to my runabout. I was pretty happy with his work too I might add.

I may have mistaken xr6manace for some else I think. Also the hull set the record in the 70's NOT the 80's (typo I think). But an update is due. I fitted the motor to the boat today at work BUT no way am I wiring it up. I have all the controls and the tilt control pump BUT I really am unsure of how it all goes. PLEASE IS THERE SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP??? I want to pay someone to finish this for me.

Still looking I have the outboard mounted. Just need it hooked up and wiring done. Mercule was helpful but can't do it in the time frame I'm after.
