With your current car, if you could turn back the clock would you have still bought it? Maybe a different colour, different engine, different model all-together after you drove something else..?
Me, maybe the Fiesta we bought as a second car. Fan-bloody-tastic car, but seeing there is only ever one or two people in it I'm thinking a FG column shift ute would have been the way to go. Could use it on the property, have it as a back-up tow car etc.. Although Im probably only thinking about this after having to deal with trailers all day, maybe a quick check on Monday with the local Ford mob about trading it in, hmmmm. Anyone else had second thoughts? |

I've always been reasonably happy with my car purchases but have regretted selling them. My biggest regret was selling my XR6T BA Mk2 Manual with luxury pack. I loved that car.
My only real wind back the clock moment was buying a black car as a daily driver. Only people with OCD should own black cars.

Would have saved more and waited for a BF XR8 Manual, rather than the BA Auto, But oh well, ho hum

Yeh a few cars. Maybe not getting rid of my VYII SS so quickly. Was a clean neat car! And not drowing my 4wd Patrol baring the worked 350 Chev. This was unreal!

Almost had mine 3 years now.
Sure its my first car, but I have never come across anything else I would rather have for the money (or close to) that suits me.

I wouldn't have bought my current car.
I would have just kept my XR8 ute. |

Tough question, I have never regretted buying any previous cars but I sometimes regret buying my current one. I like it, it suits me and I don't think I could have found one with less k's for the price I paid... but there's a distinct bitter citrus taste in my mouth. Nothing is ever working completely right for very long.

To be honest. Instead of buying my ba2 xr8 6 spd, leather, premium and climate control with low km, one owner.....
I was actually in the market for a monaro 5.7 6 spd. I would have loved to spend the money on that that I did the xr8. At the time monaros were overpriced, they are nothing better than a vt2 ss. I bought the xr8 as it was too good a car to let go, I knew the guy who bought it new and he was gonna trade it. Gave it to me at basically his trade in price. Id love a mint monaro though. Cammed or supercharged, big hsv rims, lowered a bit... |

Well the folks bought this car, so can't really hope for much more. The colour isn't the best, but it was a 1 owner car in good condition with low ks, was a no brainer.
Starting to test my patience of late, constant gas noise when applying brakes, think the brake booster is gone.

Wouldn't have bought my Falcons, saved the heart ache and went straight to the XR5.

I would have saved myself the lovely experience you get owning a Falcon and bought either a Mk5 Golf GTi or Renaultsport Megane 225

Today I wish I bought that 34, tomorrow I'll wish I bought a VW Golf...in the end I'm glad I have what I have. It's a car I don't regret buying and it's a car I appreciate every time I drive it.

Would of looked harder for a BF G220 which would of given me the ZF not the horse cart spec BTR
as for my purple dinosaur would of gone a FI route or not even bothered and built a XE instead which have been longing to do since i owned one as my first falcon.

If I'd have known I would be spending about 6 years overseas I probably wouldn't have bought the GTP back in 2003. But I've been back in Sydney for about 18 months now, I own it outright and still love it.

I should have gone that way, instead I started second guessing myself with the "what if's", such as "what if fuel gets too expensive and I can't afford to run it?" You know, the doubts that creep in that steer you to a more conservative choice. The thing is, that was my last car purchase as a single man. I've got buckleys getting exactly what I want now!! If I had gone the Pursuit it would have been well used as a daily driver and long in the tooth now but still be a cool car. With the BA I shopuld have gone for a better colour at least, then I wouldn't be quite as bored with it as I am now.

hmm.. trick question.
I definitely wouldn't have picked Blood Orange. I definitely would have kept looking for a manual. I should have paid a little more for a BF. I should have bought a turbo. I just really hate my car now, It was good at first. But now the color annoys me, its too bright. Its too big on the juice, even though im doing 11.9l/100km. With these cars, there is so many of them around that someone will always be, - cleaner - faster - louder I should have bought a 4X4

Would not have bought my Jeep. Would of preferred an Ford Explorer V8. Then I would of had spare money to buy a nice sedan or coupe for a bit of fun.

The only thing I would have changed about the G6E (if we'd have ordered it instead of buying off the lot) would have probably been to not option the leather seats. Bloody cold in the cold weather we've been having out here lately.
Probably also the 19" wheels, had we been given a choice. They're getting replaced with 17's when the tyres wear out. Other than that, can't think of anything I'd have ordered differently...it was pretty much full-spec when we bought it with sat nav and the premium stereo. |
