Default Help? Paint Colour/Codes???

Hey guys,

Found this capri in a nearby street by chance and figure this is the colour i want my escort.

Could anyone tell me if this looks like an original colour? If so, the possible name or paint code?

Looks like Midnight - don't think it was an original colour on the Capri though.

Does it have metal flake? If not then it would be 1980 colour code 'C' for an Escort (RS2000 only).

Heres what Midnight looks like on an Escort from different angles/lighting

Cheers

James

Does indeed look a little like midnight blue. If you haven't already, maybe you could ask the guy who owns the car if he knows the colour. While you're there, check if it's for sale and let me know

JimmyD, I'm pretty sure its not midnight, doesn't seem to have that purpley tinge to it, but I am a huge fan of that colour on the RS'.

coworth freak, I tried and tried to get him to come out, but he didn't want to. I heard movement in the house, knocked about 4 times but to no avail. I've seen him outside his house in passing before and he's a pretty old guy... If I do get hold of him I'll have chat to him for you...

I've been told that it could be whats known as fords "bold blue"....

Try these pages on the Falcon GT Club of Australia site. The little magnifying glass symbol (where available) will show you the Ford colour on a car.
