My Car: Festiva 1998.
I hard a big noise (like something just snapped) when I released the hand brake. Now the car is not moving after changing the gear. I don’t hear the clicks when I pull the hand brake. I am unable to pull the hand brake in full lock position anymore. I am assuming something wrong with the hand brake and it is not fully releasing. I will be grateful if you could kindly help to diagnose the issue. NEED YOUR URGENT HELP PLEASE!! Thanks in advance. Last edited by melahi; 26-09-2011 at 12:26 PM. |

I just deleted my own post as I didn't think it was helpful.

Hey mate, ask over here:
http://fordaspire.5.forumer.com/index.php? They are much more active when it comes to Festiva's, you won't get much info here. |

Shouldn't be too hard to see if its stuck on. Just go to a slight hill, put it in neutral and let go of the brake and see if it rolls.
