hey guys, driving home tonight ive noticed ive got a squeak as i turn left at low speeds. sounds like its coming from the rear, but maybe to the right i think. definitely from the rear though. the cars a manual s3 xr6 non irs

On the brakes or off them?
Is it a squeak-squeak-squeak or just one squeak?

when you realese the hand brake, does it occur then?

Sounds like brake drag, you should find that LIGHTLY applying the foot brake while cornering will stop it. I'd knock the wheels off and have a look, chances are one of the caliper slides is sticking. Nobody ever greases them when they change the pads!

i had a squeek that was caused because the hub was screwed. Replaced the hub all good.

i get the same noise occasionally, it's usually just a build up of dust and dirt etc.. quick wash out with the gerni and it's all good. or a few dabs of the brake pedal. still it could be something a bit more nasty like a hub as bobuleh stated.
