I just noticed the socket for my break light is damaged (weird) but i'm not sure what to call it. it is on a series of cables that connect to another bunch.
Do i need to change the bung of sockets or can or do i have to get a single socket and solder it on to the bunch? |

dammit, i've completely forgotten what they're called. i've changed about 30 or 40, you would have thought i'd know
but yes the bunch is really cheap and easy to replace. you just undo it from inside the boot and push the lot through the bunghole. the stock ones are made out of really brittle bakerlite and the replacement ones from ford (perhaps a BA item?) is made of much more durable plastic. only about $30 from memory.

thats alright, went to Grimshaw st ford... cant remember what it is called. went to supercheap, and bursons first to get a non genuine but neither of em had it, so had to get genuine for $80 that sucked balls... on the bright side, while i was there i grabbed a knob for the headlights - mine snapped off 5 years ago and i never bothered to get one. just had to pinch the bit it snapped off of. hahaha it's changed my life
