Default iPhone 4S

Is anyone using an iPhone 4S (version 5 operating system) in a LW Focus Titanium or Sport or an earlier model if it has the same Sony audio system?

I have heard there are some issues with pairing etc. and do not want Santa to bring my wife an iPhone 4S if it will not work well in the new car when it arrives.

My Nokia E71 paired perfectly with the latest Sport system. Cannot vouch for the iPhone though.

Have paired both my iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S (both running iOS 5.1) to a few demos. One demo I had for an hour, and the 4S worked brilliartly. Siri works really well with the Bluetooth as well. When streeming audio from an iPhone, you can get the song name and artist, every action was smooth. Again, worked wonderfully.

Perhaps some of the earlier Focus models will need an update to their stem to bring them into line with iOS 5, but that's all I can think of. Link below on how to update via the USB port. Someone shared it with me and it's fixed my Fiesta Bluetooth!

Sorry, I should point out I'm running BETA software on my iPhones. But iOS 5.0.1 works perfectly also

dannyhilton is correct. There's been a recent update for the sony stereos which fix up BT audio streaming. My iPhone 4 failed with BT in my car when I went to iOS5.

this applies to:
  • LV Focus XR5 with the USB conversion
    LW Focus
    MB Mondeo XR5
    Focus RS

Instructions for the install can be found here:

I use a Nokia E71 and a Blackberry Torch in my Sport with no problems at all. It works very well.
