Question Clear front indicator color?

hey guys,

i installed my clear front indicators from Ferntree Gully auto salvage a while ago now. i have seen other cars with this and their blinkers match up better with their front driving glass in color.

my indicator lens seems really white compared to my driving lights.

i have attached pics for you to see.

is there any way i can match these up in color?

cheers

Daniel

I think most are like that Daniel, I know mine are on the EA. The only other option is Genuine Ford indicaters, but they cost heaps.

yeah most after market ones are like this. if you get the SAP ones they match better. or go genuine they match better again.

ED XR had them standard and EB GT

Ferntree Gully Auto Salvage had them a while back, at around 40 bucks a pair...

EDIT: turns out they sponsor these forums now, so maybe send 'em an email or give them a call and find out if they stock them.

Guys, I have a pair in the original boxes. Never used. Would be happy to sell them to anyone interested. They are TYC brand. I bought them for my ED sprint as the genuine ones from Ford ard $110 ea. I can not use them on the Sprint as the ED XRs have a parker light in the assembly where the normal falcons have them in the head light. I am in Melb. asking $30.. paid $45 Then off to Ford for Genunie ones.

you are observent, I didn't even know what mine were, I had to check. They are the SAP branded, and I got them from Choiceford in Sunshine, paid $30ea for them. Unlike the TYC ones mine still have never got any water in them.

EBII, part of the problem is your lights need either a good clean inside, or re-chroming.
My Genuine XR blinkers look exactly the same as the ones in your pic, very white.

$45 for a pair at FTG Auto Salvage. Including postage to Sydney.

Not bad at all!

beats $220 + freight from Ford...

Yeah ive seen those on ebay as well. they look good but bloody hell are they expensive, they also do tinted versions of the blinkers as well. But hell painting it yourself looks easier and cheaper lol. How do you go about it exactly, anyone know?
