Carried out this job today and thought i would do another write up for those people that are interested.
First i jacked up the car and put it on stands, next thing i did was crack the adjusting nut. Then cut the cable tie that holds the boot to the tie rod, this enables you to twist the tie rod. Then undo the top retaining nut. Split the ball joint with the ball joint removal tool Undo the ball joint off the end of the tie rod, check the old one against the new one to make sure it has the same thread and length etc. Install the new part back on the rack end and screw it on as close as possible to where the original one was tighten the top lock nut and put in the split pin if its not a nylock Tighten up the larger adjusting nut (22mm) grease the nipple and take the car for a wheel alignment, but i might try this myself on the weekend if the rain ever holds out! Cheers Ben

The link pin bushes are no better than the ones on mine, but mine has more cobwebs underneath too.
