It runs a 604cu. I have seen this car make over 1000hp at the wheels at summernats this year. Also runs consistent 7 sec passes at over 170mph.

Very high quality car.

[QUOTE=SpoolMan]awesome looks like WSID.
QUOTE]

it was Sydney

they Had just rebuilt the 600Ci engine with a new Sheetmetal manifold that gave them an extra 100 HP & 30 ft Lbs for a total of 1260 HP & 875 ft Lbs

they had a problem earlier in the day with the floats being uncoverd in the wheelstand

once they raised the float level the engine didnt stay at 6200 RPM out of the hole for 2 seconds like it had done previously instead it climbed rapidly to 7500 RPM whilist still moveing upwards

the extra acceleration cause the wheelie bars to bend further up & bottom out on the rear of the car which actually cause them to bend & not hold the car down at all, like it has done for 3 years now.

When it left the line they knew that something was wrong in the wheelie bar department due to only seeing blue sky for way too long, but knew if he got out of the throttle the car would come down & totally smash everything underneith, so he kept his foot on the throttle until it came back down totally. After the car settled he removed his foot only to realise that the throttle was actually stuck on full. he looked at the tacho & it was somewhere around 8600 & new the rev limited was set to 8700, so as soon as the limiter took hold of the motor he selected netural & hit the kill switch to end this wild but exciting ride.

That thing is awesome, gotta be one of the toughest fords in australia. What a crazy lauch.

If you look carefully there is one photographer who could have captured the moment the capri was in the air. Look for his pics in a major mag i reckon!!!

Hi guys,
In Issue 22 of Extreme (on sale Oct 25th), we uncover exactly what is inside that awesome big block powering the Trick & Mansweto Capri. We have their permission to print everything about the engine including cam specs etc. We also plan on a special centre poster showing a heap of different angles of the wheelstand. It's one that shouldn't be missed.

Cheers,
