Running ex Fiat 40IDF 14/15 with
34 chokes, F7 emulsion tubes, 140 mains, 180 airs 62.5 idles, 50 bleeds. Engine spec is equiv 'stage 2' Vizard spec head, shade under 10.5:1 static compression with Crow 26874 billet cam (dynamic 7.8:1), H&H Electronic dizzy set 36 deg advance at 3500rpm, Pacemaker big bore extractors and 2 1/4 single box exhaust. Will soon be fitting Piper 285 cam and bump static compression (dynamic up to 8.3:1); will see how that goes but may go to 36 chokes and rejet to suit if the 'wall' comes in too soon. 40s will ultimately limit my full power figures, but I am looking at driveability over bragging rights. From memory, the factory settings for the 44IDF 40/41s were 34 Chokes F19 emulsion tubes 145 mains 180 airs 55 Idle 50 bleed |
