Default Lowering my EB

Hey Guys

i had a friend tell me the best cheep way to lower your car is to simply cut the springs, i am looking to lower my car and i dont know to follow his advice and just cut the springs or put my hand in my pocket and buy some ultra lows. has any one cut springs, it there any issues with cutting the springs.

PEOPLE go on about geting new springs all the time but to do the job properly you have to get shortened struts aswell.

your car will have more chance of bottoming out with cut springs, as they are not designed to have the short travel. Lowered springs are stiffer and have less resistance and firmer, allowing a lower height, but not bottoming out as much, as its still very possible.

I would do it properly, and get superlows, and if you want it lower, then cut them. Ultralows... umm, i wish i could have them, but my tailshaft and swaybar would be through the floor pretty quickly...

All depends on how low you want it. I picked up 4 EF tickford springs for about $45 at a wreckers, they're about the equivelant of king lows. I think i'm the only person here who doesn't want his car absolutely DUMPED though :
