Question Help i can't work it out

hi everyone,

my 89 KE laser 1.6L (carb) has chucked a wobbly!!!! when idling, when it wants to, it runs unevenly i have checked the following:

distributor cap, rotor, plugs and leads
vacuum lines
compression
valve clearances
fuel filter,carby and pump
EGR valve
plus numerous other one way valves

it accelerates great and runs at normal speed no problem

i am at a complete loss, anyone have any ideas???? :

Geez I can't think of anything either. I think you've pretty much covered all the things I would of thought of. Maybe you might have to take it to a mechanic.

Hey ya'all new I am here but if I can add an opinion to the post...

...Sometimes if your fuel is dirty it won't do much for your engine @ idle speed. that may be causing it to lope (go up and down in revs) while you're sitting still. If it sitll does it after you get it back from your Dealer, rip the tank off and empty it somewhere inconspicuous and put clean fresh fuel in and take it for a run on the highway, that plus put a bottle of carby cleaner in the tank with the new fresh fuel and it'll clean out anything inside the block that's causing you trouble.

If you have a compression gauge do a compression test on your engine to see what it's registering at too...

Hope I helped m8.
