Default AU2 fairlane exhaust - options...

Well, after an incident today that saw my exhaust ripped off, I need a new exhaust on the fairlane...

Any off the shelf options around?

I was looking at this issue last month and the only 'off the shelf' straight bolt-on exhaust for the AU Fairlane is a stock replacement. If you want a sports exhaust you have to go custom at least to some extent.

Redback do a 2.5in mandrel bent sports job for the SWB IRS, but surprisingly, they don't do a LWB version of the same exhaust despite there being only a couple of inches pipe difference.

I found it no dearer to get a full 2.5in mandrel bent cat-back system custom made at the local exhaust shop that it was going to be to try and modify the Redback system to suit.

Tony, you can extend the SWB off the shelf Redback 2.5" single. Only needs to be extended by about 4". That is what my LTD is currently running.

After the run in with the cops thinking it was a V8, I think I'll just go quieter :P

Last thing I need is the cops on my back about it day in day out...

Tony, if you need, I will take a picture my redback 2.5" with the joiner section to lengthen it. Pretty easy, whilst it is up on chassis stands!

Hi Tony.

Here are a couple of pics of the alledged professionally fitted Redback 2.5" system. Just pics of the joiner - the rest is 'off the shelf'.

Cheers
