The other night, at 11:34pm, my MB XR5 in the driveway set off its alarm. You know the kind, the usual intermittent blasting horn and flashing indicators.
When I woke up enough to realise the alarm was my car, the horn had stopped but the lights were still flashing. No apparent damage or signs of forced entry attempt. An no bugs flying around inside that I could locate. The existance of the alarm was a surprise as I do not have the 2 sensors on the front roof binnacle (map lights, sunroof, etc), only some larger vented circle thing in the middle of the binnacle. So.... Does anyone else with an MB XR5 have a factory alarm - knowledge with certainty. I thought the OZ spec cars did not have this feature. |

My partners did. We couldn't get it to work to start with but it has some sort of delay.
We both still miss the XR5 T :(

The MA TDCi's have one so I would guess that all zetec's and up have it. To test just lock yourself in and go for the handle.

I'll try it on Wednesday when I pick up my new Mondeo XR5.
