I can't complain I paid $8,500 for the EB wagon off a mate in 1998 and sold it 12 months ago for $2000 so $6,500 in 12 years is not that bad.

I have never borrowed money for a car as the interest just adds insult to the injury of depreciation. Besides if you can't afford the car today after a couple of years saving for it your cash goes up and the value of the car goes down so you can then buy it.

A psychologist friend told me a good way to look at it was when you purchase a car consider the money that you paid for the car gone forever. Then if you sell the car anything you get back is a bonus. I guess that's OK if you are a well paid mind reader.
i agree with that espicialy the last point, thats why i tend to stick to the older vehicles around the 5k mark.

except the stupid mistake of buying an FG xr6 for 34k.... now if i try and sell it would only get like 20k, plus 20k owing on the loan, so would come out with nothing.

Bought my EBXR8 new, picked it up Dec '91 so 20 years in a few weeks, just clicked over 158,000km. My previous EB GHIA I had for 3 yrs - only 1 owner before me on that one and only had my new EB GHIA for about amonth now, it just clicked over 15,000km on wednesday so not bad for a '92 model.

I have had my EL xr for 4 years this November.
To be honest I don't ever want to sell. It is worth a hell of a lot more to me than what I could possibly get for it.

Got it at 191,000 now Round the 285,000 ( gotta guess that bit lol )

I got my EF fairy whenI was 17 back in 2005 and sold it early this year, after retiring her from daily driving when i got a work car. Didn't want to sell it, best car ever, cost me $3700 in 2005. Never broke down and sold it for $1000 in 2012. Cheap motoring.

I got my ED in 2008 dirt cheap, was already turbo'd, new BTR and a few goodies but was needing alot of TLC. Now its become something that I never dreamed off when I got it. Ill only replace it once I get my hands on a 88-93 Fox Mustang to put the running gear in.

Bought my EB2 Fairmont in Feb 2006. I passed it down (or up) to my old man when i got the AU in 2009, but it's still in the family and he is still using it as his daily and it's still going relatively well - definetely reliable. Although it does seem down on power considerably from when I had it, runs rich as hell and leaks oil like a sieve. Original drive line.

Bought it at 209,000km, now 282,000km.

Had my eb v8 ghia for around 7 years, paid 2900 for it and it came with sprint rims fitted Ive spent around 6-7 grand on the driveline/suspension/brakes to make it fun to drive and its also super reliable.
Owes me way too much to sell so im just going to drive it until the wheels fall off or it dies.
Love my eb,most comfortable car ive driven, fits me like a glove and still gets looks everywhere i go

Have had my EF 11 XR8 for about 11 months now. Bought if off Feral.
Genuine 125k. Daily drive. Apart from EL front, new 17x8 alloys and a pioneer stereo she's all standard. To date no issues and presents very well in her dark blue duco.
