Unhappy radiator coolant light

I have a au2 Fairmont 6 but i have a v8 radiator/coolant low level light flashing on my dash been to ford dealer in townsville twice and got to different responses one said i had a loose wire behind the dash and the other time i was told that it had come up in a Tech Serv bull (TSB) about this problem can any one shed any light on this problem if they have heard about it and how i can fix it as the red flashing light on the dash is starting to **** me off!!! both problems were about $200 to fix :

PS i have put this in the workshop as well but i am sure you guys will know more

pull apart your dash, and put a bit of black paint or something over the light so you cant see it flash.

if i could find the wire behind the dash i will cut it so no more light or pull the glob
