Default Has anyone else noticed cleaner exhaust tips lately?

Might be an odd comment, but both myself and my brother over the last couple of months have noticed a significant reduction in carbon build up on the exhaust tip using both Caltex and BP 98 Octane.
(Cars are BA XR6-T and LV XR5-T)

Thought it might have something to do with that chemical change they made recently?

Anyone else noticed?

I can't say I have but now that you've mentioned it you might be right. I did put a thread up a couple months back about fuel smelling differently.

Nope, my TDCI exhaust tip is blacker than Cathy Freeman.

My Subaru pings it head off on shell 98 and runs perfectly on BP and Caltex, so I second the notion of Ferrari fuel being rubbish

Yeah I remember reading your thread XBROO, I thought it could be.. It might just be a complete coincidence.

I never use Shell, and I use BP whenever I can over Caltex.
