Hi all,
I have an au2 wagon and am having some issues with suspension. Recently I noticed that the steering have become a bit "loose"/light at higher speeds. It also tends to track across the road randomly on the highway (no its not the tracking from road condition been travelling the same road every weekend for last 5 yrs). Also noticed that sometimes the weight on the wheel at low speed when parking etc varies. Could there be an issue with power steering that may cause this? The rack is only about 2 years old. I have taken it in to pedders for their safety check and all they said they found was bent chassis-sway bar brackets which have been changed and put a camber kit in. Any ideas please? Thanks. |

have you checked the steering rack bolts?
how long since the last wheel alignment? Find another suspension workshop for a 2nd opinion.

have you had the problem since the wheel alignment and camber kit. Camber will cause tram-lining so it could be that.

Could also be the Power Steering Pump, they do have problems with them. Don't forget the Pump is made by one of GMH's subsidiaries, AC Delco.

Thanks guys. Have had the problem before and after camber kit and alignment.
Did wonder about the power steering pump, it's pretty noisy at times. Would it be worth changing that over as starting point? Thanks |
