Default HSVTER into the nines!!!

My mate Chris ran his first nine second pass today. The car is a full street weight XD Fairmont Ghia running on slicks, open pipes, pump fuel, full interior and a 100 shot of gas.

It ran 9.95/138 and then backed it up with 9.92/137, car has run 10.29/133 so the NOS is only an added incentive so to speak.

I met the boys for the first time on the weekend, complete gentlemen, and the smiles on their face told the story.

I was glad to meet them, and will continue to follow their success into 2006.

Is that the brown XD with a big sticker on the back "ck automotive" I think? Was at Calder a few weeks ago with an XE with a similar sticker, the XE was doing low 11s. Have a feeling the XD did a 10.0 either that night at Calder, or a week or two ago at Heathcote.

howey that red XE runs 10.60's and around 10.70 on pump fuel and is a regular street car. HSVETR is the same car you were thinking of, but it ain't brown, it's charcoal and has been running in the 10.0's since he fitted nos for the Calder DBD meet.

Where did that come from? What the hell are you talking about?

I was pretty sure the correct spelling of his plates were 'HSVETR'.

Thats why I pointed it out in a humourous way......

Are you feeling ok JG3282? :

What a peanut :jab:

Peanut hey?

I was simply asking a question mate... If you take offence to someone asking question, then think why the question was asked. Someone said TTNOS8s sounds better than HSVETR, so I asked the question based on that. Anyway, no offence was intended, just simply asking what time's you have done on the quarter. I was going to do it in another post but the mods love reminding me that you don't need that many posts to say what you want to say.

What do you mean? I don't understand what you are saying here?

Anyways, you've confirmed any doubts in my mind.

No I haven't. But I have ran an eight second pass on the quarter though. Does that still count?? :

Haven't we quite had enuff of people going off topic to point out spelling mistakes... most of us touch type and occasionally make a typo and these forums don't let you edit all of your own posts, which you might need to do because wasn't that 8 on the 1/8th mile? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I assume this is the beast.

I sore it at Heathcote a few months back, only had like 1 run and it was a 10 something from memory then the rain set in. Sounded like an absolute animal was sitting behind me while we were waiting for the track to dry up and I could hardly hear myself think!

Enuff ov pointing out speeling miztakes? Yeah, ok. It waz a joke. get ovr it GJ8323. geez.

It was pointing out a mistake humouring people. no need to flip out.

In the end even you pointed out the correct plates;
Quote:
HSVETR is the correct spelling of Chris's numberplates...
Well.... definately no arguments there...

8 on what 1/8th mile? who? when? weren't we talking quarter mile? Or is the penis size competition over?

On the flip side,
Quote:
has JG2382s run a nine second pass on the quarter ?

Man I'm so over this child's conversation. A few of us joke around in a thread with a funny typo, and here a tantrum follows....

Anyway to Chris and HSVTER, well done. Great times, awesome Ford, and out of curiousity, does it still run a C-Series box. I thought there was talk that he was.

Top Job, and all the best!

Maaaaate, this is the thing about the internet, you type something and people can't see the actual emotion behind it. I never had a tantrum, I was typing in the same spirit you say you were, so we were both having a joke at each others and our own expense, I can assure you that considering this weeks personal events I could not possibly even remotely display a sceric of tantrum or anger or anything other than total happiness :baby bott

Just to answer your other question, Chris has a FORD engine, FORD transmission (C-series), FORD chassis and FORD body, not a GM part in sight!

No worries.

Anywho, there's to much grog to drink to be annoyed with someone this time of year. : : :baby bott :baby bott

Yeah, thought it had a C-series box. He was saying one night at calder. I guess they aren't as weak as people make out.... _2:

Love the car. Very similar in looks to mine. Except HSVETR is a bit nicer and goes a lot better :

Now, better get back to it, to try and crack that 7.99...... :
