I just bought my daughter a 1990 laser. She took it for a drive the other night and said that when she indicated left the lights would flash to high beam. Any ideas before I start pulling things apart. Thanks

I have seen people flash the lights accidentally when putting on an indicator, sure she didn't do this as well ? You may have to try it for yourself first and see if it does do it and if so try cleaning all the wiring plugs to headlights and indicators, then check the relays, next guess will be there's a fault in the indicator / headlight stalk on the steering column (from memory that's where it's located)

No worries. Will take it for a drive and check myself. If it is still doing it I will probably clean all connectors etc . Cheers

replace the combination switch with a known good one. Lasers and Telstars are known for this fault. In the AX Telstar there is a small module in the switch you can replace. It is held in with 2 screws. I am not sure if the Laser is the same. Possibly, as they come out of the same factory.
