Default DJR Cash Crisis, Ford Community Stand Up & Be Counted

As a part of the Ford Community it’s a concern that a Ford Legend who has always stayed true to the blue oval has a cash crisis and is without any major sponsors.
What can we do?
It’s time to put the moral support into action and buy a DJR-Team-Mates-Package.
Not everyone can afford to lay out $119, think about going $60ea with a mate.
For many of you there will be very little material benefit, but this about helping a Ford/Australian motor Sport Icon who has blue blood in his veins.
Let’s get the support going and get behind DJR.

http://www.djr.com.au/2013-DJR-Team-Mates-Packages
Become part of the team and activate your 2013 Team Mates membership TODAY for just $AUD 119. If you're a Foundation Team Mate (a member continually since 2007) this package is yours for just $AUD 89.

This is a very good example on how everyone can get behind DJR.
It demonstrates that its OK to support a second V8 Supercar team.

We all know that we as Ford supporters that we can ill afford to lose anymore Ford teams in this competition.

Lets get behind them - the money honestly won't send most of us broke. Without it, it might break DJR.

They already have reduced the cost of the cars was one of the reasons for "car of the future". They cost a about $100,000+ less now.

Not the place in this thread ........ Take it to the Pits area on the Forums to have a whinge. There you can go off till your little hearts content ......... this thread IS NOT about having a whinge fest about the state of V8 racing or DJR ...... not one bit.

Get behind DJR and support the bloke who has supported the brand or leave the thread letting those who DO want to throw support (financially or otherwise) behind him do so with out the crap. Just back off and here is not the place to whinge.

Embarrassed with some of the posts actually. Thanks ......

I am happy to support DJR but would have very little use for the Team Mate's package. Just a thought but for those like me can we send the money to AFF and have AFF send the money on to DJR as a contribution from the forums? That way people can donate what ever they feel like.

Don't even do it there, it's just not needed at all.

If, for whatever reason, people disagree with people donating money to Australia's oldest motor racing team, Ford or otherwise, then this is truly the time to just keep that opinion to yourselves.

I'm all for sharing opinions, but given how close this subject is to the majority of Ford following motor racing fans' hearts, it's probably best to sit this one out.

Thanks.

Even though i have been a paid up Team Mate for years (now Platinum) i would be happy to chip in some more if AFF want to have a whip around, make it big enough and maybe we can get a small spot for the AFF banner on the cars.....

Now that would be cool....

maybe this forum which im sure makes a bit of money for the owners could give 5 or 10% of there profits to djr as a charitable donation instead of relying on the ford people here who already supported the brand, manufacture and bushiness's already on this forum with there hard earned money.

It's pretty amusing though, considering the XR8 next year will be reborn with the same spec engine as the FG GT, could you imagine being a HSV owner forking out all that money on a brand new GTS, then pulling up to the lights next to a FH XR8 and then sitting side by side all the way to 100 and beyond
Even more embarrasing would be the lower spec variants of the VF in HSV's stable getting whopped by a factory XR8.

I don't think it's appropriate to criticise the people who run this site without knowing anything about them or how much hard work they put into keeping it going. I also don't think it's appropriate to do it when you make use of this site for free.

If you don't have the money or inclination to assist DJR then that is fine, just ignore this thread.

wow you really dont know the costs etc in running this site or any other

while I know the cost of keeping this site going ( web hosting and the likes ) is covered for many years the site sponsors and dm money goes to things like up grading the servers and prizes for things like the cruise for the salvos and our forum drag meets and the one that we had today at the Geelong all ford day

russ and the rest of the admin team do a great job keeping us here and to be honest i am disappointed that people think they make money out of this site

sorry for going off topic here but had to be said

If I was in a position to become a djr buddy I would do it in a click of the fingers

Telling DJR they should throw in the towel isn't the Ford spirit and certainty not Dick's.
This thread is about raising awareness about DJR, this team has given Ford Fans joy for many years and they have been loyal to the Blue Oval so if you want to help please get on board.
For any other discussions that do not directly cover this topic use the thread in the Pits Forum, only positive ideas assistance is going to get this team through the year.
