Default Door/boot lock problem with LW Trend Sedan

I have the 2012 Trend Sedan which I purchased new and am more than happy with apart from one thing. There appears to be a fault in the car locking system and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem. Quite often when unlocking my car doors using the key control unlock button, the only door that is unlocked is the drivers door,..the other three doors and the boot remains locked and can only be unlocked using the inside door handles. However, there is no lever to unlock the boot and after much frustration I have found the only way I could do that was by first unlocking the drivers door, and while keeping that door open, press the lock and then the unlock button again, the boot would then be unlocked and the boot could be opened. Yes, I have checked the position of the electronic door locking button situated just behind the window operation controls, this isn’t the problem. Has anybody else had this experience?

Not had that problem but suggest you try to have the car re-learn your remotes. Its in the owners manual how to do this.

Hi When using the remote try pressing unlock a second time or holding the unlock button for about 5 seconds, either of witch should unlock all doors. To make all doors unlock on a single short press try holding down both lock and unlock buttons on the remote for about 10 seconds and car should beep at you to tell you it has changed from two pushes to one push. Each remote can be different so you might need to program both. Cheers MD
