There just lieing cheating $%%^^ they excepted the 170 mill on proviso the of job security. We just blindly hand over the money as taxpayers and get no say on how it's spent.Really like to see where the dollars are spent and how much the execs are being paid or should I say over paid.I bet joe blow could walk in off the street and save 20/30 mill at least. While their crying poor and the government are handing the money over they will always be rorting the tax payer system.

Both subsidies mentioned are forms of redistribution: the 200Bn would have been spent in the economy anyway, by its original owners. |

I seem to recall posts recently saying Holden can sell their V8 so cheap Ford should follow suit. here is why that was not a good idea. they give their cars away and loose money, hardly good business sense

screwing over their workers doesn't mean anything
a couple of years ago, their workers were on a 9 day fortnight . . . . but the scum bags could still afford $3,000,000 buying 888 they screw up time and time again and yet us tax payers pay for their incompetance |

Holden has an A&P budget which I think they should be able to choice how they spend. The government money is an R&D grant & not government owner ship The 3M Holden spent getting T8 was the best 3M in advertising they have ever spent in the history of Holden. They took with them, one of the all time greatest teams, the most winningest drivers of all time, & another driver that I'm sure will overtake prior said driver!! Holden is free to advertising as they see fit & they still see value in sport sponsorship, so I say good on them!! |

of course it was the best thing for holden - but the people that were working their butts off on a 9 day fortnight might not have thought it was so great
ford and toyota spend money like it is a rare commodity holden spend money like it is water but i guess when you have received twice the money as your competitors, you can afford to pee it away |
