Hi all
Seriously considering swapping my GT40P heads over to a set of Trickflows twisted wedges. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tf...view/make/ford The GT40P currently have a set of the Yella Terra 1.7 Roller Rockers on them. Will The roller rockers swap over or will I need to buy a set of Trickflow rockers? Just trying to work out what bits Im going to be needing before I commit to it and jump in feet first. Cheers |

From the YT website, although it does not list the Trickflow Twisted Wedges, most of the aftermarket valve spacings are at least 0.01 of an inch wider, so it will depend on the valve spacing on the Twisted Wedges.
http://www.yellaterra.com.au/downloa...entIdentity=26 If the twisted wedges have the same valve spacing as the AFRs etc, then you will need to buy longer shafts for your YT rockers. Part number for the longer shafts is YT 5048 and still available from YT. Some good information in this thread here. It is about AFRs, but a lot of the part numbers etc listed. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11268872 The last two pages have some YT detail that I discovered when doing my AFR upgrade. I believe XH5LWPN is running some Twisted Wedges on his 5.6L Windsor. He may be able to answer your question straight up. Send him a PM. Cheers Stu

I notice it comes with rocker studs already installed, the person who did the work on my car previous to me buying it put a set of stud mount heads on and then machined and packed it up to fit pedastool mounts and made an absoulute mess of it, spent some money fixing them. I ended up banging a set of these in
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-289-...item5d3faa2abb they seemed good value or if you are ordering from sumit you could probably grab a set of them to |

His yt rockers wont work on the tfs heads, gt40p's are pedestal mount where as tfs are stud mount very very different mate.

With the twisted wedge heads you will need some offseted rockers to suit the design of those heads. Your convential rockers wont geometrically be correct on the tw heads. Harland sharp do offer an offseted trickflow tw head rocker set

In short the factory Yella Terra rockers will NOT bolt onto the TFS heads.
Sell your GT40Ps & rockers together, you will also need new rockers, pushrods & rocker covers. |
