Default start me up with a button!!

hey guys i was wondering if anybody has installed a starter button in an ea falcon (mark 1), if so how easy was it and how did u do it. i want it so i put the key in ignition, and then hold a button to start. i know it involves the ignition switch, the starter solenoid and the 12 volt feed. but ive got no idea which wires are which. and do you have pics??
any help is much appreciated

This is something I have been thinking about as well.

Ive heard that there were kits floating around that let you start the car with the remote.

I have a mate who has done this but doesnt use the button to stop the engine. Not as good as the real FPV button. but still cool

It would be dead simple to do, just run 2 wires to the starter relay. I've got a momentary switch that I use when I need to use the starter to turn the engine over for a second. The only thing is that the starter would operate any time but without the key on the car wouldnt actually start.

I reckon the Xbox button is pritty nerdy.

An eject button might be more suitable to ejector seats

I know it's not an EA, but I'm pretty sure JC did this mod to his AU XR8. It would be a pretty similar procedure I'm guessing.

He also doesnt show his right hand in the ignition... could be a bunch of bs and hes just wired a pretty button in.

That looks pretty legit, if anyone is successful with it, then please post it up on here!

Stock Standard: Yes they are many kits that involve remote start, my mate has installed one into his ED, purchased off eBay.
