Default Anti-theft devices

Saw this on an EBay sale of a '74 XB GS coupe ..

Interesting anti-theft device? Love the car though .. (reminds me of my XB GS coupe in Mullberry too)

Rod.

I had trouble working out what the "anti "theft bit was? Then it dawned! If it wasn't that god awful dash, then it must be that they have smeared some poo coloured substance all over the interior! It's not poo is it? :

Doesn't neccessarly mean the car cant be stolen. It would be harder though. I wouldn't want to go out and have to take my steering wheel inside to the shops, restarunts ect.

Great car.

hahaha mr bean style, take the steering wheel off lol. next he needs a pad lock on his car door lol.

still thats pretty easy to get around, as most thiefs of cars, inspect the car before they take it, i aint that much of a problem to get around, especially with such an old car.

In South Africa apparantly (was told by a resident) it's not terribly un common for a taxi driver to remove the steering wheel from his car/van/whatever and fit a pipe wrench... apparantly this makes sterring with one hand while you indicate with the other much easier (because the globes in the indicators are broken you see)....
