Default Street Meet Eastern Creet 29/9/13

Went to the street meet at Eastern Creek yesterday, sadly not many fords but a few stand out cars. There was one BA XR8, white, black stripes that turn to flames at the rear of the car, looking at the engine bay, no major mods but running consistent mid to low 13's. Pretty good considering a new E3 clubby was running 13.5's all day long.

Is the owner a member on here, it was one nice sounding XR8

Also a nice looking dark blue FG turbo ute running high 11's...

I think the standout for me was this purple and silver RX7 I think going flat stick until the 1/8 mile marker then backing off the rest of the way and pulling mid to high 8's...

Anyway was a very quiet turnout but good to see a few top fuelers doing some test runs.

Oh and nice to see some girls racing a skyline, motorbike and a mini-dragster.

Hi blk6t, the ba xr8 is mine. My best run was 13.148@110.67 with a 1.996 60 foot.
I struggled a bit on launches yesterday as my previous best 60 foot was 1.874.
Not sure what was going on as the last few Sundays have been a lot more packed.
I've put a video up of my first run.

Yeah it was quiet yesterday, we were thinking maybe school holidays or the warm weather. That's a cracking time mate, must have missed that run, I kept an eye out for the mighty white XR8 throughout the day. I spent a bit of time in the stand at the finish line, it's a good spot to see the cars finish at speed.

Keep us updated next time you go, might run the GT down the 1/4 as well.

Have to say I'm a ford man but that blue VE wagon, the company car was a weapon too, low 11's supercharged 6ltr. Wouldn't mind that for a company car!!

Cheers for the video link too mate.

Thanks, I was dropping my brother off he lives in Stanhope gardens, I couldn't really see much behind me.
I take it to the drags on a trailer as I've had a few things brake at the track (diff hats and drive shafts) just makes it easier to get back home (Maitland). And means I don't have to take it easy on the track.
