Default RE: EcoBoost Spark Plugs

Hi All,

I am looking to replace my Spark Plugs on my EcoBoost and thought I would add some of my findings to the forum.

Spark Plug Details;

AG9G-12405-BC (Bosch) 0.7mm Gap / as per owners manual.
9A6G12405AA Ford Part Number
0242236574 (Bosch Short Code) / HR7NI332W (Bosch Long Code)

They are a Double Platinum Plug.

I have ordered 4 today and will await their arrival.

So I got the plugs today, will look to install on the weekend.
They are Pre-Gapped to 0,90mm and will have to get the feeler gauge out to gap to 0,70mm as per factory specs. The plugs need to be torqued to 20Nm. The plugs are also made in Germany...

So I changed out the plugs on the weekend and it was quite a straight forward process. Just had to remove the intake that runs along / on top of the engine.

Once the factory plugs were removed I found them to be; AG9G-12405-BC (Bosch) and stamped FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company).

All seem quite fouled, with the new plugs in it has definitely smoothed out the power delivery...

Job done!
